桜というご馳走を目の前に置き、たっぷりと愛でながら描いたのがこの小さいシリーズ。逆に、花と同調するように浮き立つ作者の楽しげな筆遣いがダイレクトに伝わってくる。This small series depicts a feast called cherry blossoms in front of you with plenty of love. On the other hand, the author's fun brushstrokes that stand out in tune with the flowers are transmitted directly.
生まれてから30年近く暮らした東京都杉並区本天沼の実家の庭には、大きな八重桜があり、古いソメイヨシノと双璧をなしていた。幼い頃から最も親しんだのが八重桜。花の立体感と鮮やかな赤。花に負けないくらい主張する瑞々しい葉の緑。春の勢いを凝縮したようだ。In the garden of her parents' home in Honamanuma, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, where he lived for nearly 30 years, there was a large double cherry tree, and it was twinkled with old Somei Yoshino. これも、具象と抽象の間で自由に表現することを試し遊んでいるような一枚。まとまりのよい、見やすい絵にすることを作者が目指していないことがよくわかる。空気が春の色に染まっている。「こういうのもありでしょう？」と密かに笑う万里の顔が浮かぶ。This is also a piece that seems to be experimenting and playing to express freely between concrete and abstract. 府中公園の古い桜。何という大胆な、挑戦的な絵なのか。無駄なことを一切省き、「ここに在る」という桜の存在感に敬意を表しているようだ。見ているこちらが嬉しくなってくる一枚。Old cherry blossoms in Fuchu Park. What a bold, challenging picture!
